Still Growing

After overcoming my 6 month breaking point and implementing the tactics I strong-armed out of El Suavecito, the last few months have passed with relative ease.

I’m still far from achieving my goal of a full flowing mane, but as the winter months have approached the use of beanies has become much more frequent and welcome.

It’s like the best and the worst time of year to be growing out your hair. The best because cooler weather is a good reason to wear a hat or beanie, and most days I’m able to conceal my awkward stage hair.

The worst because this is when all the fancy holiday engagements are happening: Thanksgiving dinner, swanky holiday parties and Christmas photos with the family...where hats and beanies are usually not acceptable.

Thankfully at 9 months of hair growth I have enough length to brush it backwards and look halfway decent. If I can get a pass from the wife for the family photos, I know it can’t be looking that bad.
