Easy on and off

"The first thing I noticed is that these don't slip. Once I put my hair in a ponytail, I'm not having to constantly adjust it like other hair ties. Removal is easy and it doesn't rip all of your hair out trying to remove it. I've been using it for over a week. Too soon to tell how long these will last. So far so good."

Would these be able to handle being worn while swimming or occasionally in the shower just getting them soaked in general?

So... why does it need to hold 80lbs?
It does not NEED to, just an added bonus from the construction of the ties. Basically, they are very strong.

Is there any method to re-shrink the hair ties once they have been worn for a while and stretched out? That is the only con I have found for these. Other than that, they kick ass!
No. With that said, just because they are worn in does not mean they will not preform. Even with extended stretch or "bacon effect" (when the sides kinda wave) you will be able to continue to get plenty of mileage out of them.
