Hair ties designs used to be one of those taboo topics guys didn’t talk about. It remained unspoken, but every guy with long hair has had questions—along with opinions, preferences, and even downright convictions.

We’re big sports fans at The Longhairs, recognizing the finest flow in football, baseball, basketball, hockey and even little league…but there’s something special about hockey hair, and that’s why we’re proud to announce our sponsorship of the San Diego Gulls professional hockey team.

We are pleased to present the entries we’ve received in the Hair Ties For Guys Design Contest & Community Showcase. 16 design collections were submitted, along with 10 individual hair tie designs.

Did you know we first launched Hair Ties For Guys in 2014 with just six collections? There was no sleeve or branding, you could see the stitches, we didn’t have a black collection or even any solids.

In the beginning it just meant letting your hair grow unfettered. It still means that, but has since taken on a broader definition.

Known in these circles as El Suavecito, Marshall Shakro is one of many who helped make The Great Cut a special event, and who has breathed life into The Longhairs’ community.
