Thanksgiving, a day we all sit around with the ones we love, tell stories, watch football, eat till we pass out, and most importantly share gratitude for our relationships and our lives. It’s a day to reflect on everything we are truly grateful for.
A few weeks ago we posted The Essential Hair Tie Review For Men, providing an overview and evaluation of a dozen styles of hair ties. The conclusions of this study called attention to a noticeable lack of hair tie options for men.

10 Sick Ways To Wear Your Long Hair, And Several OthersView Post

There have been some pretty wack posts about “longhair problems,” especially those purporting to be for men, yet written by women. We knew we could do better.
Some you’ll see for the first time, others you’ll be intimately familiar with. We’re proud to present to you, the definitive guide to #longhairproblemsformen
“Every guy with long hair has a reason for it. Maybe it’s a statement, or a story, maybe it’s about his character and who he is. Maybe he just doesn’t like getting his hair cut. But there’s something about it for all of us.”
My art studio is in the same building as The Longhairs’ headquarters. I knew them back when their hair was merely shoulder length, and the idea for the Longhairs was in its inception.
They mean well, but they don’t understand. They’re thinking short-term, not big picture. You’ve got a date with destiny and you need to look good for it. What they don’t realize is your shoulders are throwing a party and they’re waiting for your hair to arrive.
“Cry in the dojo, laugh on the battlefield,” an old proverb that pops into my mind as I lay on the jiu-jitsu mat with my long hair dripping sweat into my eyes. The warrior that coined that phrase must have been a longhair as he understands all too well the struggles of training with a mane. This made me wonder, from mixed martial artists to football players, how many professional athletes chose to rock the establishment and don streaming locks despite the obvious disadvantage?
Scientists, some of the most respected, prestigious, and forward thinking individuals in society. They broaden our horizons, give us new angles, and make our lives easier through invention and innovation. However, throughout history, most fail to acknowledge that many of these geniuses rocked absolutely killer manes. From Albert Einstein to Archimedes, these legends graced us not only with their scientific prowess, but their genius hair.
Chances are you know at least one man or boy with long hair. He might be a family member, boyfriend or husband, a casual acquaintance, or just a Facebook friend you don’t remember ever meeting. It could be someone you’ve known for years who always had short hair, but recently made the life decision to grow it out. You probably haven’t thought much about this guy’s long hair, or his struggle. That’s because there are things you simply don’t think about unless you are a man with long hair.
